THE WOMEN OF THE
MIDDLETOWN UNITED METHODIST CHURCH

The women of MUMC have recognized how truly important it is develop a creative, supportive fellowship whose purpose is to know God, and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ. From that fellowship we can expand concepts of missions beginning within our own church and community to go beyond those boundaries to encompass participation in global ministries. We recognize the truth that with God, all things are possible.
We are a group of Christian women with many gifts who are unified by one Spirit. We desire to participate in God’s mission in all areas of life. We seek wholeness for ourselves, especially women, youth and children.
United Methodist Women seek to be:
- Followers of Jesus Christ who live their faith in acts of justice and mercy.
- Catalysts for needed change.
- Mobilizers of human and material resources.
- Creators of new arenas of participation throughout the church and the world.

UPDATE: November, 2009
The Women’s Fellowship has had a busy fall so far. Our biggest event was our first Craft Fair led by the very capable hands of Lori Crandall. So many people were involved that it would be hard to mention them all and leave someone out. Thanks to all for making this event so successful. We are hopeful that this one will be the first of many. We were able to give the Mission Team over $2,000.00 for their missions. Great job everyone!
Under the watchful eyes of Linda Rowse, Linda Bardell and Esther Lynn Ciprich, Pajamarama was a huge success. We were able to send boxes of pajamas to our very Red Bird Mission in Kentucky. Many thanks to our ever compassionate congregation for all your contributions.
Christmas is coming and for our second year we will be having our Christmas Dinner on Friday, December 18, 2009 at 6:00. Every woman is invited to join us that evening. Along with the dinner we will be having our cookie exchange. A great way to gather goodies without a lot of work. Bring a friend!
