Medical Masks
Fabric Masks: we still need people who can sew! A few of us from MUMC are sewing, along with about a dozen women in the area. In the weeks since starting this ministry, over 8,500 masks have been made and donated! And yet, the need far outweighs the numbers we are turning out. Please, if you sew, please join in as soon as possible. Information is on our church website, fabric can be found outside the driveway side doors, and completed masks go in the bin in the same location. Daily pick up is 4pm. The more hands, the more lives will be saved. Blessings!
Knit One, Prayer Too
Monmouth Medical Center NICU is out of preemie hats. If you knit or crochet, please consider helping. You may make any pattern you wish, and use Google to find free patterns. Any color, size, but please, no wool, fringe, tassels, or pom poms. Hats may be left in the medical mask bin, outside the driveway side doors. Thank you!
Keyport Food Pantry
So many are experiencing great difficulties during the health emergency. The Keyport Food Pantry is really in need of food to give to those folks who are out of work and unable to feed their families. Our congregation can help. Plastic bins will be placed outside the double doors facing the DRIVEWAY where you will be able to place your donation of food. Because there are a few bins placed there…the bins for food donations will be clearly marked. The pantry is specifically asking for cereal, pasta, pasta sauce and canned vegetables. You can donate anything but they are running low on these items. You can also drop these much needed items off at a Sunday drive through. Thank you in advance…I know you will all help.
MUMC has created a fund for donations that will help anyone affected by the coronavirus. To date, we have received many generous contributions - Amen!
We are currently putting these funds to good use by providing meals to health care employees at both Riverview and Bayshore Hospitals, on a weekly basis. We have had the ability to use several of the super volunteers for the Door Step Deliveries to help facilitate this. Looking ahead, we hope to expand our ministry – please let us know if you have any suggestions. You can contact Nanci Illingworth, Denise Goudsward, or any member of the Missions Team. If you have a request that you would prefer to remain confidential, please contact Pastor Derrick.
If you would like to donate to the Covid 19 Fund, you have a few options: 1) you can log into REALM, and go to the Giving page. There will be a drop-down menu that offers a choice for where you would like your donation to be given. Just click on Covid 19 Fund. 2) you can mail your donation to MUMC at 924 Middletown-Lincroft Rd., Middletown, NJ 07748; or 3) send your donation electronically through your bank. Thank you all for your generosity!!!!

Middletown United Methodist Church
ReOpening Survey
I was glad when they said to me, “Let us go to the house of the LORD.” (Psalm 122.1)
Every single one of us is looking forward to gathering together in worship within the sanctuary at Middletown United Methodist Church. To open our church building, we are required by our conference to have a reconstituting plan in place. Your Leadership Team is working diligently to develop our ReOpening Plan based on the responses to the survey.
